Former New York Times opinion editor and Author Bari Weiss is joining the Munk Debates to discuss “the future of open debate in contemporary society, and how we forge common understandings in a time of extreme polarization.”
Weiss notably quit the Times – leaving behind a scorching resignation letter denouncing the paper as nothing more than an echo chamber of ‘woke’ activists masquerading as journalists who believe dissent has no place on the platform.
The Munk Debates are a semi-annual series of debates on major policy issues held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They are conducted by the Aurea Foundation, established by Barrick Gold founder Peter Munk and wife Melanie, and have been ongoing since 2008.
