Today is my 1000th day as America’s 70th Secretary of State. Each one has been a privilege to serve the American people. So many kind words from all across our nation – thank you all for your support and kindness. The Lord is watching over America and always will be.
As I have said from day one, it has been an honor to serve with the world’s finest diplomatic corps. I want to thank all the employees of @StateDept who have answered the call and executed our mission on behalf of the American people over the past four years.
Susan and I will never forget our church, family and friends back in Kansas without whom none of this would have been possible. Thank you Kansas!

Had a great set of ambassadors serving America around the world. Thanks to you all for your dedication and work for the American people.
I knew how important it was for Americans to understand and support our foreign policy - and feel it relates to your values, your concerns. So I spoke directly to you.
